Kacey Strickland, the MSU Office of Research and Economic Development鈥檚 executive director of the offices of Sponsored Projects as well as Research Compliance and Security, now will oversee operations and management supporting the submission of research funding proposals and protection of MSU鈥檚 research enterprise. She serves as the Authorized Organizational Representative, or AOR, for MSU with grants signature authority.听

Strickland started her career at MSU in 2001 as an administer in the Office of Sponsored Programs Administration. After a brief stint working at the University of Georgia in the Sponsored Programs Office, she returned to MSU. While her role has changed many times throughout her years, she has remained in research administration.听
Strickland earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in genetics from the University of Georgia and a master鈥檚 degree in science education from the University of Texas. She is a Certified Research Administrator, Certified Professional in IACUC Administration, and Certified IRB Professional.听
