MSU鈥檚 College of Education announces Robichaux-Davis as assistant dean

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擱ebecca Robichaux-Davis, a 花秀直播 State professor with a wealth of experience in both K-12 and higher education, is now serving as assistant dean of MSU鈥檚 College of Education.
Robichaux-Davis has served as an elementary and middle-level mathematics education faculty member in MSU鈥檚 Department of Teacher Education and Leadership since 2007. In her new role, she works with accreditation, assessment, undergraduate and graduate academic programs and recruitment.
鈥淎s we continue to build on the College of Education鈥檚 legacy of excellence, Dr. Robichaux-Davis brings a combination of leadership, expertise and vision to her new role,鈥 said Teresa Jayroe, dean of the College of Education. 鈥淗er extensive background in education and her commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration make her an invaluable asset to our college and to the university as a whole.鈥
Among her many achievements, Robichaux-Davis is a Southeastern Conference Academic Leadership Development Program Fellow, a member of the David Carlisle Hull Faculty Leadership Class, and a past recipient of the College of Education鈥檚 Clyde Muse Service Award and Lucinda Rose Outstanding Teacher Award. She has authored or been cited in numerous presentations and publications and has had more than $7 million in external proposals funded. She served as the faculty director of MSU鈥檚 Quality Enhancement Plan: Bulldog Experience and two terms as the Robert Holland Faculty Senate President.
鈥淚 am honored to serve as the assistant dean of the College of Education because it will provide me with an opportunity to continue to work closely with outstanding faculty, staff and students to tell our story,鈥 Robichaux-Davis said. 鈥淢y previous roles and experiences at 花秀直播 State have made me profoundly aware of how the college is taking care of what matters through its commitment to excellence in education. I am proud and excited to be able to contribute to furthering the impact of the college through this new role.鈥
Prior to MSU, Robichaux-Davis was a research fellow at Auburn University and an independent mathematics education consultant. Upon completion of her doctoral studies, she taught at Southeastern Louisiana University after serving as a middle school math and science teacher and as a secondary math and computer science teacher. She holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in secondary mathematics education from Nicholls State University, master鈥檚 in mathematics education from Louisiana State University, and master鈥檚 in applied mathematics and doctorate in mathematics education from Auburn University.
