‘Howell at the Moon’ set for Oct. 28 at MSU observatory

STARKVILLE, Miss.—»¨ĞãÖ±²¥ State’s Department of Physics and Astronomy and Astronomy Club are hosting a special Halloween public viewing Friday [Oct. 28] at the university’s Howell Observatory.
“Howell at the Moon†will be held 7-9 p.m., weather permitting, and is free to all and will include telescope viewing of Jupiter, Saturn and more.
Children of all ages are encouraged to wear costumes, and candy will be provided. Organizers also encourage participants to dress warmly.
Clouds or rain will cancel the viewing.
The observatory is located at the H.H. Leveck Animal Research Center, also known as South Farm. To reach the facility, take Blackjack Road to the intersection of Stone Blvd., then turn south onto Stone Blvd. Extended (also Hail State Blvd.) and continue for two miles. Signs mark the route to the site.
