»¨ÐãÖ±²¥ State University’s 2022 fiscal year, which ended on June 30, marked a new milestone in fundraising success. Support from alumni, faculty, staff and friends enabled the university to raise a record $125.3 million in cash and gift commitments, securing the ninth consecutive year of private gifts totaling $100 million.

Alumni participation again reached over 19 percent (19.7%), enabling MSU to maintain its ranking ahead of several major peer institutions in the measure of support among former students. Additionally, nearly 7,000 individuals contributed to MSU for their first time and more than $5.3 million of the total funds raised were accounted from gifts of $1,000 or below.Ìý

The Bulldog family prioritized their support for MSU more than ever this past year, providing incredible momentum to drive ongoing success. In addition to private giving, MSU’s commitment to excellence has enabled significant achievements in a number of areas in FY22.Ìý

MSU experienced its seventh year of consecutive enrollment growth with a total of 23,086 students enrolled for fall 2021. More than 26 percent of first-time freshmen earned a 30 or higher on the ACT and private scholarship awards benefitted nearly 4,100 students in FY22. Additionally, 97% of 2020-21 university graduates reported being employed or working on advanced degrees within the first six months after graduation.

Our faculty were recognized among the SEC’s most productive in generating research and development expenditures. With $720 million worth of active awards across campus, R&D efforts continue to reach record heights, positioning MSU among the National Science Foundation’s top 90 research universities and 59th among public universities. Faculty and students alike are taking part in important discoveries and innovations every day.
