STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擣or the second time in as many years, a College of Education faculty member at 花秀直播 State is being honored by the Southern Regional Council on Educational Administration.
Assistant professor Angela S. Farmer in the university鈥檚 educational leadership department聽 recently was chosen for SRCEA鈥檚 2015 Outstanding Faculty Research Award.
Titled 鈥淟ittle Red Riding Hood: Sexual Abuse Cloaked by a Teaching License,鈥 her investigation of steps school administrators must take to combat sexual predators was cited for 鈥渆xcellence in scholarship.鈥
Last year, Farmer received SRCEA鈥檚 Outstanding Junior Faculty Scholarship Award for a study of student discipline policies around the world. She also began a four-year term on the organization鈥檚 board of directors.
花秀直播 University for Women鈥檚 educational leadership director before coming to MSU last year, Farmer is a doctoral graduate of Oakland City (Indiana) University.
Founded in the late 1950s, SRCEA works to provide a forum for ideas and discussions of practices and procedures for improving the quality of education at all levels. In addition to 花秀直播, the association serves professionals in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia. 聽
Held at Kennesaw (Georgia) State University, the organization鈥檚 56th annual conference also included the presentations of research papers by three other MSU education faculty members, professor Jack Blendinger, assistant clinical professor Leigh Ann Hailey, and Donna Shea, director of the college鈥檚 Office of Clinical/Field-Based Instruction and Licensure.
Their reports ranged from developing principal excellence in managing schools to the impact that ecological conservation schools have on student achievement.
